Leighton Contractors

Transparent
“We are focused on delivering projects and services that make a difference in people's lives and create lasting value for future generations. Since 1949, the company has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse contracting and project development companies in Australia and New Zealand.”
Craig Laslett
Managing Director

For over 55 years, Leighton Contractors has delivered projects to governments, major corporations and other clients across Australia. Our specialist skills in complex infrastructure, communications infrastructure, contract mining, and operations and maintenance delivery, teamed with our traditional business of building and civil contracting means Leighton Contractors is one of the most diverse and experienced contracting companies in the country.

But, what makes Leighton Contractors stand out is its people. Our engineers, tradespeople and support staff are some of the best in the business. They work incredibly hard in an environment where personal responsibility and opportunity are corner stones of our management approach.

Our people, backed by well-tested systems and processes drive our performance.

At present, we are delivering projects like: the $2.0 billion North-South Bypass Tunnel in Brisbane; the $1.4 billion Gateway Upgrade Project in Brisbane; and the $491 million Ballina Bypass in NSW.

Our services division continues to grow. In telecommunications, through our subsidiary Visionstream, LSE and the Nextgen Networks; in transport with expanding toll road operations; and facilities management company, Infocus - a joint venture with James Fielding.

In addition, we are benefiting for significant growth in the mining sector, particularly mining coal in the Bowen Basin in Queensland and mining iron ore in the Pilbara in Western Australia.

Throughout our history, the keys to our continued success have always been our ability to re-invent ourselves, to keep innovating and the continual delivery of ground-breaking projects. These are traditions we will continue to uphold to ensure that Leighton Contractors remains a market leader well into the future.
