With over 25 years experience in the region, Leighton International, formerly known as Leighton Asia (Southern), is one of the most successful Australian companies in Asia and the Middle East.
In 2002, Leighton Asia split into Leighton Asia (Southern) and Leighton Asia (Northern). In 2007, the companies were renamed Leighton International and Leighton Asia respectively, to better recognise the considerable financial and geographic growth of each company.
Leighton International now operates in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Sri Lanka, with expansion plans further across the Middle East and North Africa.
Leighton International employs people across India and South-East Asia and the Middle-East and North Africa, where it operates as the Al Habtoor Leighton Group.
Leighton international’s unique combination of local knowledge and international experience has made us the international contractor of choice where we operate.
Its key business areas are civil engineering and infrastructure, building, mining, offshore and rail. Work in each country is secured by developing a distinctive local identity and cultivating relationships with compatible companies and people in the local communities.
The company has the financial resources and industry expertise to undertake large-scale civil infrastructure projects – projects which are often beyond the financial capacity of the region’s smaller construction companies.
