An Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer since 24 August 2011. Mr Tyrwhitt holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Western Australia. A Chartered Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Member of the College of Civil Engineers Australia and a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Mr Tyrwhitt is a civil engineer with 26 years experience in the construction industry. Managing Director of Leighton Asia Limited and Leighton Contractors (Asia) Limited since December 2007. Former General Manager of Leighton Contractors Victoria/South Australia/Tasmania/ New Zealand and Director of Leighton Contractors Pty Limited from January 2005 to February 2007. Appointed General Manager and Director of Leighton Contractors (Malaysia) SDN BHD in 2002 having joined in 1994. Mr Tyrwhitt joined John Holland in Western Australia in 1986 and in 1990 was appointed as a Project Manager in John Holland Construction (Malaysia, Laos and Thailand).

An Executive Director since 23 December 2010 (formerly an Independent Non-executive Director from July 2006 to October 2009) and a Director of each of the Group’s Operating Companies. A Director of Leighton Welspun Contractors Pvt Ltd since April 2011 and an Alternate Director of Habtoor Leighton Group for Mr H G Tyrwhitt since November 2011. Mr Gregg holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Queensland. Formerly Chief Financial Officer and Executive General Manager Strategy for the Qantas Group, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Leighton Holdings in October 2009. A Fellow of the Finance and Treasury Association, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Gregg is a former Director of the following other ASX listed entities: Qantas Airways Limited from September 2000 to September 2008 and former Chairman of the Singapore-based Jetstar, and its parent company Orangestar, Stanwell Corporation Limited until September 2009, Skilled Group Limited and Skilled Rail Services Pty Ltd from March 2009 to February 2011, and QR Limited (Queensland Railways) a Queensland Government owned corporation from May 2009 to November 2009. 

C A van der Laan

Craig van der Laan joined the Leighton Group in June 2011 as Chief Risk Officer and Group General Counsel. From September 2001 until December 2009, he was a member of the Global Executive Committee of the ASX listed Brambles Group and its dual-listed ASX50 / FTSE100 predecessors, Brambles Industries Limited and Brambles Industries plc. During that period he served variously as Group President of CHEP Asia-Pacific, where he was responsible for the group’s operations in Australia, New Zealand, South East-Asia, China and India; Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions; Group General Counsel; Group Company Secretary; and Global Head of Human Resources. Craig also previously worked as General Counsel and Company Secretary for the Westfield Group and as a commercial in-house lawyer for Australian National Industries. 

D Chandran

Dharma Chandran joined the Leighton Group as Acting Executive General Manager, Human Resources in October 2011, and was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2012. He was Managing Partner of Ernst & Young's Far East Area Performance & Reward Practice based in Hong Kong from 2009 to 2010 and was seconded to Suncorp Group in Australia as Acting Group Executive, Human Resources from April to August 2010. From 2003 to 2008 Dharma held several General Manager – level HR roles for Westpac Banking Corporation in Australia. Dharma also previously worked for McKinsey & Company as HR Director for South East Asia, with Hewitt Associates as Head of Asia-Pacific M & A Practice and for Towers Perrin as Head of Asia-Pacific Financial Services Practice, all while based in Singapore and Malaysia.

Ashley Moir was appointed to the position of Company Secretary in April 1990. He was previously Company Secretary of Australia National Industries Limited. Mr Moir is a former Director and Chairman of Chartered Secretaries Australia ("CSA") Limited and is a member of the NSW Council of CSA.

Christof Brixel is a graduate of Aachen University, Germany with over 25 years experience in chemical, mining and construction industries. Joined HOCHTIEF in 1994 and held senior financial/ commercial positions in Europe and Asia before joining Leighton Holdings in mid 2007 as Executive General Manager, Internal Audit.

P J Brothers

Patrick Brothers joined the Leighton Group in February 2010, and was appointed Executive General Manager, Corporate Strategy in January 2012. Mr Brothers is a graduate in Science (Mathematics) from the University of New South Wales and Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Prior to joining Leighton Holdings, Patrick was a Director with Deloitte working in various senior roles in Private Equity, Corporate M&A and Strategy after serving in the Australian Army as a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon.

J Gordon

Jamila Gordon is a graduate of La Trobe University. Joined the Leighton Group as Chief Information Officer in 2010. Former Chief Information Officer of Qantas Airways Limited from 2007 to 2009. At IBM from 1999-2007 she lead global IT transformations for some of the world’s largest corporations in the manufacturing, insurance and banking industries. Prior to this worked for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and GIO Insurance. Has been based in France, the Netherlands, UK, UAE and Australia, and has extensive experience working across EMEA, Asia and the US.

Ms Gordon is a member of the La Trobe University Council and a member of its Finance and Resources Committee. Member of the Advisory Board of the Sydney Women’s Fund. Recipient of the La Trobe University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2008.

J M Grogan

Justin Grogan is a graduate in commerce from the University of Western Australia and a masters of business administration from the University of Sydney. Joined the Company in 2000 and appointed an Executive General Manager in 2009. Mr Grogan has extensive experience in corporate affairs responsibilities including investor relations, crisis management and corporate communications.

Adelle Howse is a graduate of the University of Queensland and awarded a PhD in Mathematics. Holds a Diploma with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia. Joined the Leighton Group in 2003 and appointed an Executive General Manager in January 2010. Prior to joining Leighton Holdings in 2006 Adelle worked for John Holland Group, Tarong Energy, Energex and Unilever Australasia. Former Director of the Manila North Tollways Corporation.

David Hudson was appointed Executive General Manager, Risk Management in 2006. A career contractor, with experience in Australia, Asia and Africa. Former Managing Director of Barclay Mowlem from 1990 to 2006. Former Managing Director of Murray & Roberts (Civils) Pty Ltd, South Africa from 1986 to 1987. Former Vice President of Australian Constructors Association from 1997 to 2006. RMIA 2008 Risk Manager of the Year.

Mr Hudson is a member of the Industry Advisory Network at UTS Engineering Faculty and a National Board Member of Engineers Australia Centre for Engineering Leadership and Management.

G P Hutchinson

Gerard Hutchinson joined the Leighton Group in November 2011 as Executive General Manager, Finance Change Programme. From October 2007 until November 20011, he was the Executive Director Finance for AECOM in Australia and New Zealand. Gerard also previously worked in various senior finance roles for Leighton Asia from March 1994 to March 2007. Gerard holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and Masters Degrees in Business Administration (RMIT University), Information Systems (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) and Law (Monash University). A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (FCA), the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), and the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM), Gerard is a finance and commercial professional with 20 years experience in the construction and engineering industry in Australia and Asia.

Tony White was appointed Group Strategic Sourcing Manager in January 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. He was previously Strategic Procurement Manager for Leighton Contractors Pty Limited and has held senior roles as chief procurement officer at Qantas and Carter Holt Harvey and in supply chain consulting for AT Kearney. He has over 35 years business experience of which more than 20 have been in the construction and resources industries.

A member of the Taxation Institute of Australia and CPA Australia.
