Description:
Thiess Services has been awarded a range of waste collection and recycling contracts by local governments and councils in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
Thiess Services, through the Thiess Waste Management System (TWMS) provides a fully integrated, total waste management solution for the local governments, offering:
- waste management
- supplier/sub-contractor negotiation
- administration management
- quality assurance
- systems development
- value management applications
- occupational health and safety, and
- industrial relations.
Thiess Services also operates recyclable recovery services and collects/separates paper, cardboard, glass, steel, aluminium and plastics and recycles building wastes. Recyclables are collected from drop-off centres, and in separate collection containers. Thiess Services is meeting the demand for efficient, responsible recycling processes through the innovative Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs).
