Description:
Alinta Network Services, National Power Services and Thiess Services formed an alliance contract for the delivery of electrical infrastructure construction and maintenance services across Melbourne.
Works undertaken by Thiess Services under the contractual arrangements included:
- overhead lines maintenance and construction
- distribution fault and emergency response
- high voltage/low voltage operations
- customer connections and metering
- television interference/voltage complaints/transformer load management
- public lighting, and
- 'no go zone’ management.
Alinta Network Services is a leading energy company, providing energy related products and managing gas and electricity infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. Through a competitive tendering process, Thiess Services won the contract based on its existing relationship with Alinta Network Services, having proved its capability in regularly exceeding performance requirements over the previous 4 years.
