Description:  

Leighton Contractors designed and constructed a new production facility for Australian packaging company AMCOR, as an addition to its existing glass furnace and manufacturing plant in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.

The existing plant – which marked AMCOR’s entry into wine bottle production – was designed and constructed by Leighton Contractors with German technology supplier Heye-Glas in 2002.

The new production facility has capacity of approximately 200 million wine bottles per year.
