
As part of Australia Post's National Network renewal programme, Thiess was awarded two major building projects. The $62 million Dandenong Letter Facility in Melbourne involved the development of over 41,000 square metres of covered building area and commissioning and installation of specialist mail processing equipment.
Works included receival and dispatch docks, transport facilities, carparking and extensive landscaping.
The Strathfield Centre in Sydney, built under a $74 million contract, houses new processing equipment capable of sorting 35,000 items of mail per hour.
