Description:  

John Holland, through its acquisition of CE Marshall and Sons Earthmoving Pty Ltd, will provide mining services to the Blackwater Coal Mine for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance. The mine is located 24km south of the town of Blackwater and 315km west of the port of Gladstone, Queensland.

The Blackwater Coal Mine is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in Australia, producing approximately 14 million tonnes of coking and thermal coal a year. The coal is sold to markets such as South and East Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, India and Australia.
