Location:  Queensland
Start:  March 2007

Contract Type:  Design and construct (Alliance)

Description:

John Holland as part of the Horizon Alliance delivered Queensland’s Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Project. It was the first project for this alliance and also the first large-scale integrated road and rail project for South East Queensland.

The Horizon Alliance was a collaboration between Queensland Rail and the Department of Main Roads, and John Holland Pty Ltd, GHD Pty Ltd, and Kellog Brown & Root Pty Ltd (KBR).

This project combined a new passenger rail line from Darra to Springfield and made improvements to Centenary Highway with the duplication to four lanes between Richlands and Springfield.
