Description:
Leighton Contractors has been providing contract mining services at the Peak Downs Coal Mine since 2003, in Peak Downs, QLD, for BM Alliance Coal Operations.
Peak Downs is one of the oldest and most established sites owned by BM Alliance (BMA) in the Bowen Basin. It is a large, open-cut mining operation, which was developed in the early 1970s. The operation is around 40-kilometres long.
Leighton Contractors was also awarded the Peak Downs Coal Mine Stage 4 and Peak Downs and Saraji Stage 6 projects.
