Greg Paramor Joins Leighton Properties Board

Leighton Properties today announced that Mr Greg Paramor, Executive Chairman of the James Fielding Group had been appointed to the Board of Leighton Properties.

 In August 2001, Leighton Holdings and James Fielding announced the formation of an alliance to pursue property investment opportunities.  Leighton took an 11% stake in the James Fielding Group at this time.

“The appointment of Mr Paramor to the Board of Leighton Properties is a further development of the alliance between the two groups,” said Mr Vyril Vella, Managing Director of Leighton Properties.

“Greg Paramor is one of Australia’s most successful property funds managers and we are delighted that he has agreed to join our board.  His deep understanding of the property sector and strategic abilities will further strengthen Leighton Properties approach in the future,” Mr Vella said.

Greg has been involved in the formation of public investment vehicles since 1981 and during this time has been directly involved in the organisation of some $4billion of commercial, retail and industrial projects and property securities.

Greg Paramor was a founder of Growth Equities Mutual and also founded the Paladin Property Trust.  He sold the latter to Deutsche Asset Management in July 2000.

He is currently National President of the Property Council of Australia.  He is a director of a number of companies including the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
