The Directors of Leighton Holdings Limited are pleased to announce that Mr Thomas C. Leppert has today been appointed a Director of the company.

Mr Leppert is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The Turner Corporation, the leading general builder in the United States. Turner recorded sales of US$7 billion in 2003 and ranks first or second in the major segments of the US building construction field.

Mr Leppert is a member of the Board of Directors for AECON, Canada’s largest publicly traded construction and infrastructure development company and is Chairman of the company’s audit committee. He also serves on the national Board of the Pacific Legal Foundation, is a member of the Young President’s Organisation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Claremont McKenna College, his alma mater.

Mr Leppert has extensive finance, banking and property experience having served as the Vice Chairman of Pacific Century Financial Corporation and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Castle & Cooke Properties, Inc.
