As advised previously, the Leighton Group has stated its intention to expand by acquisition and has had discussion with a number of parties.

In response to the article appearing on page 1 of today’s Australian Financial Review, we advise that we are having ongoing discussions with Transfield Constructions Pty Limited on a range of options. The discussions are commercially sensitive and no agreement has been entered into.
